Teach for Leeds City Schools: The Online Application Process

Leeds City Schools has included applicant forms on this site which need to be downloaded and completed by all applicants intereseted in applying for a certified position within the Leeds City School System. The documents which are located under "Document and Applications" on the side bar include: Certified Application Form, Certified Reference Form, Employment Eligibility Verification Form, and the Verification of Teaching Experience Form. These forms along with a current resume and cover letter specifying the specific job that you are interested in should be submitted by mail or physically dropped of at Leeds City Schools Central Office.

"Teach in Alabama" the state's new digital application system allows teachers to apply online to every school district in Alabama with one electronic application. Go to www.alsde.edu and use the link "Teach in Alabama" Follow the State Department of Education's instructions to complete the online application.

Leeds City Schools also participates in the "Teach in Alabama" statewide job board which lists teaching vacancies throughout the Alabama school systems. All Leeds teaching vacancies are posted here on the district web site and also online at Teach in Alabama.   Leeds City Schools' administrators look forward to your application being available when online screening is conducted for vacancies in our system.

Leeds City Schools require the following attachments to an online application: valid Alabama teacher's certificate, college transcripts, and the NCLB Highly Qualified designation issued by the State of Alabama Department of Education.  Please upload these documents to your Teach in Alabama online application.

Classified Positions

Classified positions in a school district include jobs that do not require a teaching certificate, such as maintenance, school nurse, child nutrition workers, aides, and bus drivers.   Please click the link "Employment Categorized" on the side bar under Human Resources to review the current Classified Position Openings.  The documents needed to be completed by a classified applicant are located under "Document and Applications" on the side bar and include: Classified Application Form and the Employment Eligibility Verification Form. These forms along with a current resume and cover letter specifying the specific job that you are interested in should be printed out, completed, and submitted by mail or physically dropped of at Leeds City Schools Central Office.
